MBPD: Teen hid makeup, cassette adapter in child's stroller

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Myrtle Beach Police have arrested an 18-year-old teen after she allegedly tried to shoplift makeup and padlocks in her child's stroller Friday evening.

According to a police report, officers responded to Walmart located at 541 Seaboard St. around 6:30 p.m. in reference to a shoplifter in custody.

Once on scene, officers were told that Holly Ann Ayers of Myrtle Beach was seen taking several items from the store and hiding them in her child's stroller. Witnesses told officers Ayers then passed all registers without paying for the items.

Among those items were a powdered makeup compact, two separate padlock sets, one pair of infant shoes and one cassette adapter, which totaled $73.35.

Ayers was then transported to the Myrtle Beach Jail.
