MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) A 19-year-old Myrtle Beach man is behind bars after officers say he smashed out the windows of a vehicle with an Xbox power cord.
In a police report obtained by WMBF News, the victim told police Philip Elijah Turner had smashed out the windows of her vehicle on Nov. 21 during an argument the two were having about an Xbox system.
During the argument, the victim said she told Turner she was leaving and put two juveniles into her vehicle and tried to leave the parking lot.
According to the victim, as she was getting into the vehicle, Turner threw her cell phone to the ground, destroying it, and told her "If you don't unlock the doors I'm gonna break the windows."
When the victim refused, she told police Turner swung a power cord for the Xbox system at the vehicle and shattered the rear passenger side window before doing the same to the front windshield.
That was when the victim drove to the police department.
Turner was not arrested until Tuesday, when he was charged with malicious damage to personal property.
