NICHOLS, SC (WMBF) Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a call at approximately 6:25 p.m., for a fire on Highway 19 in Nichols to a single family residence in the Floyds community.

Flames were showing from the home when units arrived, said Leslie Yancey, spokesperson for Horry County Fire and Rescue.

Battalion Chief Gardner told WMBF News that the ambulance was the first to respond to the scene, and by the time Horry County Fire Rescue arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames.

The fire is out at this time, but crews are still on scene spot checking the area, and investigating. The house is reported to be fully burned to the ground, but no one was inside at the time of the fire.

Further details are unavailable at this time, but WMBF News has a crew on the scene and will provide those details as we get them.
