Conway Police search for armed robbers

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) Conway Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and location four people wanted in connection to two separate robberies last week.

Catina Hipp, spokeswoman for the Conway Police Department, said on Nov. 22, officers were dispatched to Hugo Citgo, located at 2776 Highway 501 around 7 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery.

A victim told police two unknown suspects entered the store and one moved to select items for the register while the second asked the victim for help finding another item. According to the victim, the second suspect told the victim not the move or he would kill him.

The first suspect then went behind the counter and emptied the register.

Both suspects were described as black males. One was said to be in his late 30s while the other was said to be in his early 20s.

On Nov. 24, officers responded to the Walgreens located at 1601 Church St. around 1 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, they learned an unknown white female displayed a handgun and told employees to put prescription medication into a bag or she would shoot someone.

The suspect was described as wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, pink pants and black gloves at the time of the incident. She was said to have gotten into a green SUV driven by a white male after the robbery.

Anyone with information on either robbery should call Conway Police as soon as possible.
