MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) The Friday is Black Friday however some retailers have decided to push the timeline back this year and are now edging towards Black Thursday.
Consider This:
Many people are upset with retailers who are starting sales earlier. They complain that these businesses are ruining their early morning shopping tradition and keeping employees from spending time with family.
Businesses are focused on any advantage that will help increase revenue so, if this experiment works expect retailers to continue to move the start time up.
There is only one thing that will stop the movement to open earlier; don't show up. If the businesses opening early this year have huge crowds then expect the trend to continue. If they don't then you'll see the start times rolled back in 2012. You're in charge.
