HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A 12-year-old is now conscious following an accident involving an ATV in the Conway area Tuesday afternoon that knocked him out.
According to Horry County Fire Rescue, the child was ejected from the ATV off of Hampton Road in the Conway area.
Early reports from Horry County Fire Rescue indicated the child was ejected from a golf cart, however, it has now been confirmed it was an ATV.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is also on scene investigating at this time.
The child has been airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina and is in stable condition, according to HCFR. It is unknown at this time if he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Further details surround the incident have not yet been made available by officials. WMBF News will provide those details as they become available.
