BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF)- On Tuesday November 8th, Detectives with the Brunswick County Sherrif's Department arrested two people in connection with several breaking and entering and larceny cases.
Evidence was found during an investigation that connected Heather Marie Lafontaine and Yancy Paul Mortimer with breaking into several apartment homes. They were arrested on the scene of one of the crimes in Ocean Isle Beach.
Detectives also found three stolen firearms in an apartment home where the two were staying, illegally.
Both were arrested and charged, Lafontaine is being held under a $40,000 bond, and Mortimer is being held under a $49,000 bond.
Mortimer will be extradited to Tennessee because he is wanted there for several other charges.
