HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) Five people were injured in a what officials called a maintenance incident at Seacoast Medical Center Friday morning.

Leslie Yancey, spokeswoman for Horry County Fire Rescue, said firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm, however, when they arrived, they found no fire.

Instead, firefighters discovered two injured men.

Celeste Bondurant-Bell, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Seacoast Medical Center said four plant operations employees and one contract worker servicing an electrical panel were injured in the incident.

Two of those injured were taken to the Augusta Burn Center in GA, while the others were treated and released.

"Our concern right now is with our employees and their families, said Arnold Green, Chief Operating Officer of Seacoast Medical Center. "We have notified family and are assisting them with any of their needs, including transportation to and lodging in Augusta."

Officials continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
