HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The family of a murder victim in the Wampee Community tells WMBF News the investigation into their loved one's death is at a standstill. Now they're asking the public for help to find the people who killed him.

"Anybody that knows anything, just anybody, family, friends anybody. If you know anything just please try to help the family get some justice," said Damon Connor, Beuford's brother.

Police say they have no leads into the shooting that took the life of 24-year-old George "GT" Beuford Jr.

Beuford's family said he was outside his home at the Summer Crest apartments off Highway 90 when someone shot him in the stomach.

Connor said his brother was an outgoing person who had just started his own family. He leaves behind a wife and 5-month-old son.

"He was a good guy. I'm going to miss him with all my heart. I mean this is something that I'm not gonna get over as long as I live," Connor said.

Neighbors and friends set up a makeshift shrine to Beuford in the parking lot where he took his last steps.

Police ask anyone with information about the crime to call them at 915-TIPS.
