BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office have made an arrest Wednesday in an alleged armed robbery that occurred over the weekend.
Investigators responded to a call on Makatoka Road in Supply on Saturday, Sept 24 at approximately 9 p.m. for a reported armed robbery. The victim claimed to have delivered a pizza to a residence in that area, when they were threatened and forced to hand over the pizzas to the suspect.
Leroy James Johnson, 39, of Shallotte, was later identified as the suspect and arrested on Wednesday. Johnson has been charged with one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and is currently in custody at the Brunswick County Detention Facility. He is being held on $100,000 secure bond.
