FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The Florence woman who was reported missing over the weekend has contacted family members and police to say she is alive and well.

Major Raines with the Florence Police Department says 25-year-old Blythe Marie Hilliard phoned family members and the Florence Police Department to inform them she is ok, and "where she wants to be," says Raines.

Raines went on to say Hilliard is believed to be outside of the state, but an exact location was not given. He added that it was not confirmed if Hilliard is with the male companion she was last seen with Sept. 10 at Apple Annie's Deli & Pub around midnight.

Family and friends of a missing Florence woman had been asking the public for help in locating her after she was last seen leaving a bar off of Palmetto street over 48 hours ago.

Police said Hilliard was wearing blue jeans and a spaghetti strap, burgundy tank top with cream colored flowers on it when she was seen leaving the restaurant. Her vehicle, which police say she is in possession of, is a 2006 Kia Spectra, 4 door, Champaign color with the license plate AYD-151, according to Raines.

Hilliard is described as 5'7", approximately 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

"Just tell us where she is, what you know if you heard anything, anything would be helpful," said Brandy Montgomery, a friend of Ms. Hilliard Monday evening.

Police say Hilliard was seen leaving with a white male whom she had recently met. The man, who goes by the name Jack, or "Quatro," is said to be about 5'9" to 5'10" with a slender build and long redish hair that hangs past his shoulders in addition to a full beard, several inches long. Police add that the man was wearing a loose fitting flannel shirt, jeans or cargo pants, and several necklaces or chains around his neck.

Raines adds that Hilliard did not show up for work Monday morning.

It is unclear if the ‘Find Blythe Hilliard' Facebook page will be closed following the recent news of Hilliard contacting police.
