The Myrtle Beach 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is Sunday, September 11 at the Yachtsman Resort to benefit The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This event's goal is to have 343 firefighters participate in a stair climb representing the actions of these fallen heroes on the 10th anniversary of this tragic event.
Each participating firefighter will carry a badge honoring one of the 343 firefighters who perished trying to save the lives of others. This is not a race, but a way to honor and remember the sacrifice made not only by those at the World Trade Center, but also those who died at the Pentagon and on Flight 93.
Bleachers will be set up at the Yachtsman Resort so that all can come out and support this event. Registration is $28.00 per firefighter and can be done online by visiting www.firehero.org and following the link for the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina event, which is one of only 30 nationwide.
Check-in begins at 7:00 a.m. for participating firefighters and the event will begin at 8:30 a.m. For more information, contact Stephen Schuessler at 843-997-3811 or email@example.com.
