NMB urges residents to call hotline for storm

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC As Hurricane Irene moves along the North Myrtle Beach coastline, residents and visitors who need to report non-life-threatening storm related issues may contact the North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department Dispatch Office at 280-5511.

Storm related issues might involve localized street flooding, a tree blocking a road, downed power lines, and similar information.

Please only call 9-1-1 for genuine emergencies.

The City advises its Residents and visitors to stay inside Friday evening and into Saturday morning until storm conditions have passed.

Residents and visitors are urged to take caution as they begin to move about the community after the storm's passage as there may be debris on the roads.
