BCSO arrest suspect in several reported break-ins

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man from the Holden Beach area in connection with several break-ins that have occurred over the past month.

Detectives sought warrants on Brandon Evans, 18, Thursday for breaking into several motor vehicles, and several attempted residential break-ins in July. Leads from the Holden Beach community lead to the arrest of Evans on Saturday at the Food Lion on Sabbath Home Road.

Evans is currently in custody at the Brunswick County Detention Facility. According to the BCSO, Evans has been charged with breaking and entering to motor vehicles (20 counts), misdemeanor larceny (12 counts), attempted first degree burglary and attempted breaking and entering to motor vehicle.

Evans is being held on $250,000 secured bond.
