MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) A 19-year-old female was reportedly robbed in the parking lot of the former Myrtle Square Mall Saturday night by an unidentified male that approached on his bike, according to the Myrtle Beach Police Department. The victim was walking through the parking lot just before midnight, when the suspect allegedly ran up to her, taking her Air Jordan backpack.

The suspect held what was believed to have been a silver revolver to the victim's head and forced her to the ground, according to the incident report.

The suspect then allegedly forced the victim to undress and struck her head with the butt of the gun, before she ran towards Kings Highway to escape. The victim claims she heard one gunshot fired while running to the lobby of 2610 North Ocean Boulevard to call for help. The victim was found in a state of distress with a knot on her head, bloody clothes and torn pants from the suspect grabbing her, the victim claims.

The suspect retained the victim's backpack which she stated to contain one pair of black Nike sneakers, $30 cash, a Joe's Crab Shack t-shirt and a wallet containing her Bank-of-America debit card.

EMS did respond to the scene to treat the victim and police are currently searching for this suspect. The suspect was described as a black male between the ages of 20-25, with short curly hair, wearing all dark clothing and of thin build. He is approximately 5'6'' in height.
