BRUNSWICK COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A few days shy of Mother's Day, a Supply woman has been arrested for attempting to smuggle a weapon into the Brunswick County Detention Facility to her son.
Sgt. April Stanley, spokeswoman for the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, said Delphia Mae Marlow Bryant, 76, signed into the Detention Facility Monday with several items to be transferred to her son, Craig Juan Bryant.
Craig Bryant is currently incarcerated for murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy.
According to Stanley, Delphia Bryant presented two money orders and a box of Flonase, a prescription nasal spray. The medication was given to the Jail nurse for inspection.
Inside the box, the nurse found a single edge razor blade.
Wednesday, Delphia Bryant was arrested by the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office and was processed at the Detention Facility.
She's been charged with one count of providing drugs to inmate. Bond was set at $10,000.
