Georgetown County club shooting injures 2

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) An early morning club shooting in Georgetown County has left two victims injured and police searching for clues as to what led to the incident.

According to Deputy Russell Goodale with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, the shooting occurred at Mayo's Club on Greentown Rd. just before 1 a.m. Friday morning.

When deputies arrived on the scene they discovered two victims, one wounded in the back, and the other in his leg.

The victims have been identified as Chester Grate and Travis Reed, both 29 of Georgetown, and were transported the Georgetown ER for treatment of their injuries. Their condition was not immediately known.

The incident is being investigated by the sheriff's office, but authorities are unsure at this time what led to the shooting. Anyone with information in reference to the shooting is asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5102.
