Man wanted for robbing, assaulting handicapped person

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in locating a 21-year-old wanted man from the Supply area.

Sgt. April Stanley, spokeswoman for the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, said detectives were looking for Michael Anthony Williams after they say he entered a home along Maple Creek Road in Supply Monday.

According to Stanley, Williams forced the subjects inside the home to hand over various medications and an undetermined amount of money. Williams then left the residence and allegedly robbed another resident of Galloway Road.

Williams is wanted on the following charges:

  • Two counts of assault inflicting serious bodily injury
  • Two counts robbery with a dangerous weapon
  • One count felony assault on a handicapped person

Williams is described as a black male standing 6'1" and weighing 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
