Sports Anchor | jbelk@wmbfnews.com
Jason Belk joined WMBF as Sports Director in January of 2011 from KPLC in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Jason is certainly no stranger to the Carolinas though, having grown up in Charlotte, North Carolina and spending many summers here in Myrtle Beach.
Jason graduated from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina, and always dreamed of making it back home for a chance to cover the sports teams he grew up following.
In his spare time Jason enjoys, you guessed it, watching and playing sports. A few of his favorites are golf, baseball and football. When not doing something involving athletics you will most likely catch Jason spending time with friends and family.
Jason is beyond excited to call Myrtle Beach his home and is looking forward to bringing the Grand Strand and Pee Dee their sports coverage.
If you have a story idea or just want to talk sports, please feel free to email Jason at jbelk@wmbfnews.com.

What would you do if you didn't work in news? If I didn't work in news, I'd still have to be involved in sports somehow. Possibly working in an athletic department at a college.

Describe yourself in one word: "How would I describe myself? Three words: hard-working, alpha-male, jackhammer, merciless, insatiable." – One of my favorite quotes from The Office. I thought it fit as an answer.
