LUMBERTON, SC (WMBF) – After a shooting along East Fifth Street Thursday afternoon, authorities have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection to the crime.
Lt. Johnny Barnes, spokesman for the Lumberton Police Department, said the shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Bo's Food Store located at 1002 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.
According to police, Aaron Floyd, 22 and Tony Shaw, 18, approached a car in the parking lot occupied by Rashaad Sinclair, 21 and Dorian Taylor 21, all of Lumberton. Barnes said when Floyd and Shaw got into the vehicle, shots were fired.
Sinclair was injured in the shooting and taken to the Southeastern Regional Medical Center listed in serious condition. Taylor was uninjured.
Floyd was arrested and charged with attempted murder, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. An arrest warrant has been issued for Shaw for the same charges
Floyd is being held at the Robeson County jail under a $1 million bond.
