BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – The Bennettsville Police Department has arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of Curtis Galloway, Jr., according to officials with the Bennettsville PD.

Lt. Larry Turner, spokesman for the Bennettsville Police Department, said Kenneth Antwan Jenkins, of Clio and Royal D. Williams, of Florence have been arrested and charged with the Nov. 7 murder of Curtis Galloway, Jr.

Officers responded to a vehicle accident on West Main Street in Bennettsville after a Chevrolet Caprice struck a residence, and found the unconscious body of Galloway. Officers found Galloway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Galloway later died at Richland Palmetto Memorial Hospital in Columbia early Nov. 9. Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown said Galloway died from the gunshot wound.

Both Jenkins and Williams have criminal records. They are also charged in a strong armed robbery that occurred in September in the same location as the shooting.

Bond will be set in the future.
