Trick-or-Treating dates & times

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The Grand Strand and Pee Dee communities have listed specific days and times for trick-or-treaters to collect candy.

Please see the list below for trick-or-treating times in your community:

  • Barefoot Landing - Monday, Oct 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Bring your kids out to Barefoot Landing to enjoy safe trick-or-treating as a family.
  • Conway  -  Monday, Oct 31 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Myrtle Beach - Monday, Oct 31. No official times have been set.
  • North Myrtle Beach - Howl-O-Scream (McLean Park), Saturday, Oct 29, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Free
  • Surfside Beach - Monday, Oct 31. No official times have been set.
  • Hartsville – The Halloween Carnival at Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center will be Thursday, Oct 27 at 6 p.m. Treats on the Streets will be held on Friday, Oct 28 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Scream on the Green - "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" and "Casper" will be shown in Burry Park in Downtown Hartsville on Saturday, Oct 29 at 6:31 p.m. (sunset).
  • Bennettsville - The Halloween Drive Thru will be Tuesday, Oct 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bennettsville Civic Center. Fall for Marlboro is Saturday, Oct 29 on the Courthouse Square in downtown Bennettsville from 3 pm until 6 pm. featuring a chili cook-off, costume contest for children, food and craft vendors and entertainment. Dare to take the Ghost Walk through downtown Bennettsville from 6 p.m. through 7:30 p.m.
  • Marion County - Trick-or-treating will be Monday, Oct 31 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. throughout Marion County.
Looking for something fun to do on Halloween? Broadway at the Beach has you covered from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The City of Myrtle Beach offers several safety tips to ensure that your Halloween festivities are enjoyable:

  1. Have a responsible adult accompany children.
  2. Only visit homes with porch lights on.
  3. Always cross streets at intersections and crosswalks.
  4. Wear reflective material on costumes.
  5. Use makeup instead of masks to improve vision.
  6. Make costumes short enough to avoid trip hazards.
  7. Use a flashlight to see and be seen.
  8. Inspect children's candy before they eat it.
  9. Always be aware of your surroundings.
  10. REMINDER: State law prohibits anyone from driving a golf cart on public roads after daylight hours. Unlicensed drivers also are prohibited from driving golf carts on the street.
