Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police have served two warrants on a 41-year-old Myrtle Beach man who allegedly choked a woman and fired a gun in to a kitchen wall on Saturday.
Myrtle Beach Police met with a woman on Saturday who claimed a verbal altercation with a male suspect turned violent at 704 Boundary St. earlier that night. The victim said the suspect upended her chair in midst of an argument, causing her to slam into a sliding glass door.
A police report further alleges the suspect grabbed the victim by the throat, preventing any movement by the woman. The victim said the man let her go, reappeared with a small caliber handgun and fired one shot in to a kitchen wall.
Officers made contact with the suspect on Sunday and asked the 41-year-old to voluntarily turn himself in to police.
Officials said the man was served with a criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature warrant, in addition to a warrant for discharging a weapon within the city limits.
