Darlington, SC - DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - Two people have been detained in connection to a Tuesday morning armed robbery at a Darlington convenience store.
Capt. Danny Watson, spokesman for the Darlington Police Department, said the incident occurred at a Kangaroo gas station, located at 1001 S. Gov. Williams Hwy., around 3:45 a.m.
Robert K. Ham, 26, and Ronald Logan, 26, both of Lamar, were detained after a traffic stop Tuesday morning. Each suspect, according to Watson, has since been charged with one count of armed robbery.
"Quick thinking by the clerk and the timely release of the vehicle [and] suspect description by patrol units were vital in the apprehension of these suspects," Watson noted. "The quick response by both law enforcement agencies helped bring this matter to a close with neither the victim nor suspects being injured."
Both Ham and Logan remain in police custody.
