SC gets federal law enforcement grants

Washington D.C. - WASHINGTON (WBMF) – South Carolina will receive more than $860,000 in federal grants through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program.

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) announced Wednesday that South Carolina will receive federal grants from the U.S. Department of Justice that will fund programs focusing on law enforcement, prosecution and courts, prevention and education, corrections and community corrections, and drug treatment.

The City of Conway will receive $21,720, while Florence Co. will receive $60,843. Marion County will receive $16,464.

All grants were awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice.
