MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A 30-year-old delivery man claims he was beaten by three suspects Tuesday evening after they stole a delivery order out of his car.
Myrtle Beach Police were dispatched to the 200-block of Cedar Street just after 6 p.m. following reports of a strong armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers found the 30-year-old victim laying on the road and covered in blood.
The victim told police he was attempting to deliver Chinese food to a customer when he became lost. The victim after he pulled over to the side of the road to call for directions, three male suspects approached his vehicle.
The three suspects, according to a police report, grabbed the food from out of the victim's car. After the victim asked for the food, one of the suspects hit him in the face. Police said the victim claimed he was hit several times by the suspects.
Officers said the suspects fled from the area on foot with the Chinese food prior to the arrival of police.
Police reported the victim was treated by EMS on scene and was later transported to an area hospital by family members.
