Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - German food, beer and entertainment is expected to draw hundreds to Downtown Myrtle Beach in October, as the city celebrates its 2nd annual Oktoberfest.
Organizers with the Oceanfront Merchant's Association have scheduled the event for Oct. 9 from noon to 11 p.m. on North Ocean Boulevard between Eighth Avenue North and Mr. Joe White Avenue.
Authentic German food, beer and wine will be available for those attending the event, in addition to a alcohol-free kids zone, inflatable entertainment, Bratwurst eating contest and a fireworks display.
Entertainment on tap for the event includes music from Lee Travis and The Bounty Hunters, The Mulletts, Machine Gun, American Aquarium, Bloodkin, Passafire , Carolina Liar and Cowboy Mouth.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Horry County Chapter of the Special Olympics.
