Arnold, 9 others compete for Mr. Myrtle Beach Man title

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A field of 10 men will be strutting their stuff in true pageant style next month in hopes of being named Mr. Myrtle Beach Man 2010.

Katie's Project will be holding the second annual pageant on Sept. 18 at Valor Park, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Organizers have made the event free to the public.

WMBF News Storm Team Meteorologist Jamie Arnold is among those in the running for this year's coveted title. Arnold, who is participating in the event for the first time, will join nine other contestants in modeling some of the fall's top fashions and showing off their best talents.

Other contestants included in the 2010 pageant include:

  • Randall Jones - JCPenney stylist
  • Thomas Andrews - Energy auditor
  • Rusty Ray - WBTW anchor
  • Russell Vaden, Ph.D - Coastal Carolina University
  • Ray Heverling - Owner, tailor
  • Curtis Slade - Interior designer
  • Will Gravely - Croissants Bistro & Bakery
  • Mola Lenghi - WPDE anchor, reporter
  • Ryan DeNisco - Comedian

A panel of celebrity judges, along with audience votes, will determine who will win the title of Mr. Myrtle Beach Man 2010. Each vote from the public costs $5 and will benefit Katie's Project, a non-profit organization that helps provide prom attire to young women.
