Darlington County, SC - DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - Two of nine suspects involved in an armed robbery Sunday night in Hartsville have been detained, according to the Darlington County Sheriff's Office.
A male victim said he was robbed of money and personal items after deputies were dispatched Sunday night to the 900 block of Clearview Drive in Hartsville. The victim said he was walking home when he was approached by one of the suspects who asked for a cigarette.
The victim said when he refused to give the suspect a smoke, a group of people began hitting him in the face and body. According to a spokesman for the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, one of the suspects pulled a gun during the assault.
Following the arrival of deputies, a chase ensued between responding officers and two suspects. Satavious Taylor, 20, and Jamandi Taylor, 18, both of Hartsville, were charged with armed robbery after being detained by deputies.
A spokesman said investigators are attempting to locate the remaining seven suspects involved in the armed robbery Sunday night.
Anyone with information on the identities of the suspects is asked to call the Darlington County Sheriff's Office immediately.
