Assault suspect arrested in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach Police arrested a man on domestic violence charges after allegedly punching two people in the mouth and knocking two teeth loose on Sunday.

A police report alleged Jose Delacruz-Rodriguez, 30, repeatedly punched wife several times after confronting him early Sunday morning. The assault knocked one tooth loose and busted her lip.

When another victim tried to stop the fight, Delacruz-Rodriguez reportedly punched him in the face as well, knocking out one of his teeth and splitting his lip in two places. He also received a large scratch on his leg after being knocked down.

Police say that Delacruz-Rodriguez was placed into custody. A bond hearing has been set for Aug. 26.
