Brunswick County, NC - BRUNSWICK COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Two suspects face a variety of charges stemming from a residential break-in reported in Brunswick County on Aug. 11.
Sgt. April Gause, spokeswoman for the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, said a homeowner on Whiteville Road in Ash, NC, reported someone had forced entry into their home on Aug. 11. A safe with approximately $4,700 in cash and blank checks were removed.
Detectives in Brunswick County received a tip from an area bank that a person successfully cashed one of the blank checks and a second suspect attempted to cash an additional check.
Felisha Nicole Milligan, 22, and William Ross Stout, 30, both of Ocean Isle Beach, were detained in connection to the crime. The two suspects were each charged with one count of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and safecracking.
A judge granted Stout a $20,000 secured bond, while Milligan received a $25,000 secured bond.
Both remain in custody at the Brunswick County Detention Facility.
