Man charged with illegally entering Ft. Jackson building

Columbia, SC - COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF) – A Blythewood man has been charged in a two-count indictment this week.

The indictment alleges that Casey Patrick Keegan, 22, entered and remained in a building during the night in Ft. Jackson with the intent to commit a crime on both Dec. 8, 2006 and Dec. 15, 2006.

The maximum penalty for each offence is a fine of $250,000 or imprisonment for 15 years.

U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles stated that all charges in the indictment are accusations and Keegan is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
