Two injured after Conway shooting

Conway, SC - CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Police are investigating a shooting at a Conway nightclub that injured two people early Thursday morning.

Conway Police responded to a report of gunshots at Total Experience nightclub located at 618 Church St., and found patrons attempting to flee the area. While investigating, police discovered that a woman was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg.

When they interviewed the woman at Conway Medical Center, she stated that as she was walking to a vehicle in the parking lot of Total Experience, she heard several gunshots and then felt a burning sensation in her leg.

As they were interviewing the woman, another individual arrived at the emergency room, claiming to have been shot at Total Experience. He told police that he was in a vehicle attempting to leave the nightclub when he had a verbal altercation with a group of people and that when he exited his vehicle he was physically assaulted by the group.

The man reported that when he tried to flee, he was shot in the elbow.

Neither victim could positively identify the suspects involved, and were both treated and released from the hospital.
