Conway nightclub shooting leads to 2 injuries

Conway, SC - CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Police are investigating the circumstances that led to a shooting outside of a Conway nightclub early Thursday morning, injuring two people.

Conway Police responded to Total Experience, located at 618 Church St., in reference to gunshots heard in the area. As officers arrived on scene, a number of club patrons were attempting to flee the area.

In midst of the investigation, police learned a woman was transported to the Conway Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg. The woman told police she heard the shots while attempting to exit the club, and later felt a burning sensation in her leg.

While officers were interviewing the female shooting victim, a man arrived at the Conway Medical Center claiming he was also shot outside of the club.

The man told officers he as he was attempting to leave the parking lot of Total Experience, he engaged in a verbal altercation with a group of people. The man said he was knocked to the ground by members of the group, and then punched and kicked repeatedly.

Police said as the male victim attempted to flee the parking lot, he was shot in the elbow.

Further questioning of the two suspects did not result in a positive identification of the suspects.
