Darlington, SC - DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - A 27-year-old man has been granted a $30,000 bond for his alleged role in an armed robbery in Darlington late Saturday night.
Capt. Andy Locklair, spokesman for the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, said deputies responded to a distress call at the Food Market on South Charleston Road late Saturday night. Upon arrival, a victim told investigators a man had robbed him at gunpoint.
Deputies arrested the suspect, Tony Levann Campbell Jr., at his home on Steeplechase Lane shortly after the incident. Campbell was charged with armed robbery, petit larceny and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Campbell remains in custody at the Darlington County Detention Center on a $30,000 bond.
