Conway, SC - CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - A vehicle reported stolen out of Georgia was discovered Friday afternoon by police after stalling on the Main Street Bridge in Conway.

Conway Police were called to assist the disabled vehicle at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, according to agency spokeswoman Catina Hipp. A check of the unoccupied black Dodge Caliber's license plate revealed it was stolen out of Burke County, GA.

While officers were in the area directing traffic, Rudolph Blaylock, 23, of Waynesboro, GA, approached officers and asked for a ride after his car had stalled. A further investigation into Blaylock's request revealed the 23-year-old stole the vehicle in Georgia on Thursday.

Blaylock was arrested on scene and charged with possession of stolen property over $10,000.

A judge granted Blaylock a $5,000 surety bond on Monday morning.
