Police: Kangaroo employee robbed at gunpoint in Florence

Florence, SC - FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Police in Florence are actively searching for two suspects who robbed a convenience store employee at gunpoint on Sunday night.

Maj. Carlos Raines, spokesman for the Florence Police Department, said the armed robbery was reported at a Kangaroo Express, located at 210 E. National Cemetery Rd.

An employee told police two black males entered the store around 9:20 p.m. and approached the front counter. One of the suspects pulled out a black gun, pointed it at the employee and demanded she hand over any money in the cash register.

The second suspect, according to police, was described by the employee as a black male standing 6'2 and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
