(WMBF) - When you place your dirty dishes inside of the dishwasher, you expect them to come out flawlessly clean. If you notice tiny food particles coating your pots and pans, it could be a sign of a bigger problem.
That's where the new Finish Cleaner promises it will not only leave your dishes sparkling, but the inside of your dishwasher, as well. While dishwasher cleaners have been on the market for years, Finish promises it offers an intensive clean with no wiping involved.
Connie Clark says she normally cleans her dishwasher with a damp cloth and bleach, but the new Finish product could sideline the bleach and rags for good. Clark offers to test out the product on her 17-year-old dishwasher that uses water treated with a softener.
Before ripping off the sticker on the bottom of the cleaner and putting it upside down in her machine, Clark said she has high hopes for the product.
"[It could take off] the stains in the bottom and maybe make the chrome shiny. Take off some of the film off the door," she said.
After one full wash cycle, Clark found her machine much cleaner than before.
"It does look cleaner and it has more of a sparkle," she said. "You have to remember this is 18 years old. It does look cleaner. It did a good job, I think."
For only $3, Clark said she thinks the product truly lives up to its claims and expectations.
"This is much easier than what I did in the past," she said.
Makers of the Finish Cleaner recommend using the product once a month to maintain the cleanliness in your dishwasher.
