Sweltering conditions extend heat advisory in SC

SOUTH CAROLINA (WMBF) - A hot and humid forecast for much of the Grand Strand and Pee Dee has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory Thursday.

The sweltering summer conditions continue to blanket South Carolina, with highs forecasted in the low to mid 90s. Partly cloudy skies could draw a stray storm or two into the region further into Thursday afternoon.

WMBF Storm Team Meteorologist Katy Morgan said heat index values are expected to top 105 degrees.
