Kannapolis, NC - KANNAPOLIS, NC (WMBF) - Funeral arrangements have been announced for three people killed after their plane crashed into a mobile home Wednesday night in North Myrtle Beach.
Lady's Funeral Home announced a viewing for Danny Carroll, 54, Raychel Carroll, 66, and Mallory Fields, 4, will be held at Concord First Assembly from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. A funeral, according to officials, will follow on Monday at 2 p.m.
The three North Carolina residents were killed after their rented plane crashed into a mobile home off of Little River Neck Road shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday night.
A spokesman from the National Transportation Safety Board said the plane crashed approximately five miles after takeoff from the Grand Strand Regional Airport. Officials said the plane appeared to have hit in front of a mobile home and slid into it, setting the home ablaze.
NTSB investigators say records indicate Danny Carroll, his wife and granddaughter were traveling home to Concord, NC, from a short vacation in the Grand Strand when the rented plane crashed.
