Galivants Ferry, SC - GALIVANTS FERRY, SC (WMBF) - A mobile home has suffered major damage following a fire late Wednesday morning.
Leslie Yancey, spokeswoman for Horry County Fire Rescue, said firefighters were called to an address at 691 Dog Bluff Rd. in Galivants Ferry around 11 a.m. When rescue crews arrived, smoke and flames were coming from the double-wide mobile home.
American Red Cross disaster volunteers provided assistance to the family that lived in the mobile home.
Officials say the mobile home was vacant at the time of the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
