Florence, SC - FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff's Office have charged a 24-year-old man in connection to a July 7 shooting in Timmonsville.
Capt. Michael Nunn, spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, said Brandon Lee Dixon, of Florence, has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of discharging a firearm into a vehicle.
Deputies allege Dixon was one of four people involved in a shooting along East Main Street in Timmonsville that led to shots being fired into a car. According to investigators, Dixon and the co-defendants shot into the vehicle when the victim did not follow their instructions to stop.
Dixon is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
Nunn said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are likely.
