Bennettsville, SC - BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - Two men wanted in connection to the shooting of a 19-year-old in Bennettsville have turned themselves into police on Monday morning.
Officials with the Bennettsville Police Department said officers responded to an address on Hudson Street Thursday after learning a 19-year-old had been shot twice. The victim, identified as Anthony Deese, was rushed to a Columbia hospital and remains in stable condition.
In midst of the investigation, police named Ronald Christopher Bethea Jr., 20, and Antonio Rontrell Allen, 19, both of Bennettsville, as suspects in the shooting.
Bennettsville Police have charged both Bethea and Allen with attempted murder in connection to the incident. Allen also faces additional charges in connection to discharging a firearm into a dwelling on April 27.
The cause of the shooting is under investigation. Police say more arrests are possible.
