Membership offers free admission to school, sporting events

Florence, SC - FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - A new program in one Florence County school district is giving qualified residents the opportunity to attend school events for free.

Florence School District One announced the initiative Thursday, which invites residents 62 years and older to obtain a Pass 62. The pass, according to district officials, will grant free admission to sporting events, concerts, musicals, plays and art shows.

Pass 62 members may not use their memberships during post-season playoff games, banquets and in some cases, cost-prohibitive events. The membership will also allow its users to eat lunch at designated school cafeterias at the adult lunch price.

The membership does not expire and does not require card holders to reapply for the Pass 62 each year.

Those wishing to apply for a Pass 62 may contact the Florence School District One Office at 319 S. Dargan St.
