Hartsville, SC - HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - A male suspect is at the center of a search by Hartsville Police in the wake of an armed robbery at a State Farm Insurance building on Wednesday.
Hartsville Police Chief Tim Kemp said officers were called to State farm Insurance on North Fifth Street at 4:50 p.m. after it was robbed at gunpoint by a black male.
According to witnesses, the suspect was wearing a mask and gloves at the time of the incident. He was further described as standing 6'2" and weighing approximately 180 pounds.
The man was last seen fleeing the scene of the armed robbery on foot in the area of Church Street and North Fifth Street.
