Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A 29-year-old Myrtle Beach woman is recovering after allegedly being beaten by her live-in boyfriend on Tuesday night.
Myrtle Beach Police were dispatched to the Deb-Dex Apartments along Fourth Avenue North at 10 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a criminal domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, police found the 28-year-old victim with swelling and bruising to her face, in addition to a missing tooth.
The victim told police an argument with her live-in boyfriend escalated when he struck her twice in the face with a closed fist. The victim told police the man proceeded to push her over a chair, hold her down, and strike her with the back of his hand and forearm.
One of the couple's two children later began crying, leading the man to stop striking the woman. The man fled the apartment before police arrival.
Investigators are describing the suspect as a white male, standing 6'2" and weighing approximately 280 pounds. The suspect, who has brown hair and blue eyes, was last seen wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans.
