Police: GPS, $1,300 stolen during MB armed robbery

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police are working to learn the identities of three suspects involved in an armed robbery along Yaupon Drive late Monday night.

According to a police report, three black males approached a vehicle in a parking lot along Yaupon Drive around 10:45 p.m. and robbed the two victims inside. The victims told police one man smashed a window of the car, while a second suspect pointed a gun at the driver and demanded money.

Myrtle Beach Police said the suspect with the gun pulled the driver out of the vehicle, hit them in the face with the weapon, and proceeded to steal a GPS unit.

Other items reported stolen during the armed robbery include more than $1,300, a student ID, international driver's license and a Social Security card.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department immediately.
