Horry County, SC - HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Myrtle Beach man has been indicted by a grand jury Tuesday on five separate drug and stolen goods charges, according to court records.
Scott Ari Relford, 40, was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of receiving stolen goods valued at $5,000 or more, possession of anabolic steroids, unlawful possession of prescription drugs and possession of a controlled substance.
Relford was taken into custody April 5 following the execution of a search warrant on Hummingbird Court in Myrtle Beach.
As the warrant was served, detectives with the Horry County Police Department's Property Crimes Section recovered an enclosed trailer and household furniture. Both of the items, according to Sgt. Robert Kegler with the Horry County Police Department, were reported stolen.
In addition to the seizure of the trailer and furniture, investigators recovered prescription pills and anabolic steroids. The additional items, according to police, did not belong to Relford.
The 40-year-old was also taken into custody on Dec. 21, 2009 on four charges of possessing, concealing, selling or disposing of a stolen vehicle. Booking records reveal he has also faced three charges relating to chop shop, altering, defacing or destroying a vehicle identification number.
