Atlantic Beach, SC - ALTANTIC BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Atlantic Beach Town Council unanimously passed the second and final reading of their budget Monday night, according to Town Manager William Booker.
Booker says he hopes the money will be used to pay off the remainder of the town's $142,000 debt.
Booker says the 2010-2011 budget is roughly $858,000 which is less than last year's budget and says this is a sign of less anticipated revenue from property taxes. Booker says this unfortunately leaves the council less money to run the town with.
However Booker does say the town's council will likely vote to increase building permit fees to help bring in more revenue but he does not plan on any tax increases for Atlantic Beach residents.
