New library opens in Johnsonville

Johnsonville, SC - JOHNSONVILLE, SC (WMBF) – A new library opened in Johnsonville on Sunday after the former location closed nearly a month ago.

The project cost $1.4 million to complete and is located on East Marion Street, just down the road from where the old library was located.

State lawmakers helped secure about $550,000 worth of funding for the new library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services gave the facility about $48,000 to help buy additional computers.
